We are seeking an experienced individual contributor to deliver code assessment services in a fast paced environment to our customers based out of our Belfast, Ireland office. This position will report directly to the Manager of Professional Services.

If you are a Software Developer who is looking to progress into a more analytical role, then consider this Solutions Consultant position at Black Duck Software. We are seeking an experienced individual contributor to deliver code assessment services in a fast paced environment to our customers based out of our Belfast, Ireland office. This position will report directly to the Manager of Professional Services.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Deliver code assessment services to customers interested in determining compliance to third-party licensing and encryption policies
- Develop a detailed understanding of the capabilities of the BDS applications, architecture, and development tools to properly and creatively use features to meet client needs
- Bachelor's Degree (Computer Science or MIS degree preferred)
- 2 years of development experience with in a one or more of the following programming languages: Java, C#, C++. JavaScript, PHP or Perl
- 2 years’ experience in a technical business environment with specific focus in software development and/or software implementation
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% of the time including internationally
- Ability and willingness to investigate/review source code and other software objects and make decisions based on understanding the code
- Ability to present information and findings to a customer in a clear and concise manner
- Customer facing experience is highly valued and is a plus
- Familiarity with open source software, third party licensing, open source approval processes, or license compliance governance is highly valued and is a plus
- Experience with software development tools, including IDE’s, Code Repositories, and Build Tools is a plus
- Knowledge of software encryption technologies is a plus
