Description
The QA Engineer is responsible for defining and implementing API based regression and performance tests as well as creating and maintain test plans and cases for Black Duck Software products.  This position reports to the VP of Engineering.
The ideal candidate has prior QA Engineer experience working in a Linux/Windows environment executing an enterprise product testing suite with experience in Java and Web technologies. 
 
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Define and implement API based regression and performance tests (Java/Soap)
  • Create/Maintain test plans and test cases for Black Duck Software products
  • Execute formal test plans
  • Work closely with engineering in early product phases to facilitate Black Duck’s agile development methodology
  • Track features and bugs (Jira)
Requirements:
  • 2+ years experience as a QA engineer working in LINUX/Windows environments
  • Proven ability to execute an enterprise product testing suite
  • Must have experience with Java and Web technologies
  • Familiarity with unit testing frameworks, e.g. JUnit, TestNG
  • Experience writing in-depth test plans and test cases
  • Strong UNIX/Windows and shell programming skills (Ant, Bash, Perl, Batch scripting, etc.)
  • Understanding of software development life cycle
  • Excellent communication skills - able to interface with multiple groups across the company
