Solutions Consultant

Location: Belfast

If you are a Software Developer who is looking to progress into a more analytical role, then consider this Solutions Consultant position at Black Duck Software. Black Duck Software is the gold standard for open source due diligence audits, participating in 600 M&A transactions per year. We are seeking an experienced individual contributor to deliver code assessment services in a fast paced environment to our customers based out of our Belfast, Northern Ireland office. This position will report to directly to Manager of On-Demand.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Deliver code assessment services to customers interested in determining compliance to third-party licensing and encryption policies
• Develop a detailed understanding of the capabilities of the BDS applications, architecture, and development tools to properly and creatively use features to meet client needs

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree (Computer Science or MIS degree preferred)
• 2 years of development experience with in a one or more of the following programming languages: Java, C#, C++. JavaScript, PHP or Perl
• 2 years’ experience in a technical business environment with specific focus in software development and/or software implementation
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% of the time including internationally
• Ability and willingness to investigate/review source code and other software objects and make decisions based on understanding the code
• Ability to present information and findings to a customer in a clear and concise manner
• Customer facing experience is highly valued and is a plus
• Familiarity with open source software, third party licensing, open source approval processes, or license compliance governance is highly valued and is a plus
• Experience with software development tools, including IDE’s, Code Repositories, and Build Tools is a plus
• Knowledge of software encryption technologies is a plus
